CORRUGATED METAL HOSE FABRICATION
Corrugated metal hose is made from several different materials, depending on application. When selecting the material, proper consideration must be given to corrosion resistance, service temperature and material strength.

Corrugated metal hoses are suitable for a wide range of applications in many industries including chemical, automotive and power generation sectors and ideal for the conveyance of liquids and gases under pressure and also capability to withstand high temperatures, impacts and corrosive substances and atmospheres.

The range of standard end connectors include screwed fittings (male and female), flanged fittings of any standard fix as well as swivel type, welding stubs, cam & groove coupling and etc. We also can supply hose assemblies with special end fittings as per customer's drawings and requirements.

Corrugated Metal Hose Fabrication

To properly design metal hose fabrication for a particular application, the following design parameters must be determined. To help remember them, they have been arranged to form the acronym “S.T.A.M.P.E.D”

SIZE : The diameter of the connections to which the assembly will be installed is needed to provide a proper fit.

TEMPERATURE : As the temperature to which the assembly is exposed ( internally and externally ) increases, the strength of the assembly’s components decreases. Also, the coldest temperature to which the hose will be exposed can affect the assembly procedure and / or fitting materials.

APPLICATION : This refers to the configuration in which the assembly is installed. This includes both the dimensions of the assembly, as well as the details of any movement that the assembly will experience.

MEDIA : Identify all chemicals to which the assembly will be exposed, both internally and externally. This is important since you must be sure the assembly’s components are chemically compatible with the media going through the hose, as well as the environment in which the hose is to be installed.

PRESSURE : Identify the internal pressure to which the assembly will be exposed. Also, determine if the pressure is constant or if there are cycles or spikes.

ENDS CONNECTIONS : Identify the necessary end fittings.

DELIVERY : Identify the volume and velocity at which the media will flow through the assembly.
